  • Owned and managed a family law and litigation practice for 16 years, before being elected Judge in 2016.

  • Served as guardian ad litem (court-appointed attorney representing children).

  • Provided pro bono (free of charge) legal services to families in need involved in custody disputes.

  • Resides in Wood County, WV, with her husband, Justin. They are proud parents, as well as grandparents.

EMILY BRITTON

PARALEGAL AND OFFICE MANAGER

Emily Britton is Ellen's daughter. She serves as a paralegal and office manager. Emily has an accounting degree from West Virginia University and a background in early childhood development and education. She previously worked extensively with young children as well as in the medical field. She holds a certification in early childhood education. Emily not only brings a business background to the firm, but also a deep compassion for families and children.
